I originally purchased this box, as it was just a bit more then buying a single ork painboy at the time. (1 painboy for 15 dollars, vs 4 nobz and a painboy for 22? No brainer!). However, when I received this kit, i noticed there really wasn`t any type of modification to make a painboy persay.
What you get (for a painboy), is a buzz saw arm, much like the buzz saw arm with the painboy kit. What you don`t get is any other pieces to make the nob look like a painboy. You don`t get a doc`s syringe, nor any type of tool bag, mask, or doc type items. There is also a harpoon type arm, however both the buzz saw arm, and the harpoon arm are for the same side, so without extensive cutting and modeling, you won`t be able to make a plastic painboy very easily.
HOWEVER….
What you do get is an absurd amount of bitz. You can make all manner of nob with this kit. You get 3 cybork heads, tons of shoulder bits, 3 powerclaws, tons of AWESOME looking big choppa`s, the list goes on and on. I had two nob boxes, and I had to purchase a sortable plastic box, just to store all the extra bitz!
I figure one of the best values for a new ork player would be getting the following.
1) Assault on black reach, sell the marine side to cover the cost of…
2) Battle Force (2x boyz boxes, 1x trukk box, and 1x warbike box).
3) A nob Box (allows you to field roughly 5-6 power claws (3 from nob box, 1 each from the boyz boxes, and 1 the warboss comes with).
You can use the helicopters as bikes (with some modification) to field a biker squad of 6, and have yourself quite the beginning army, for not too much money!
